Jefferson Township is one of sixteen townships in Elkhart County, Indiana. As of the 2000 census, its population was 6,545.

According to 2010 U.S. Census Bureau figures, Jefferson Township, unincorporated except for the site of an undeveloped Goshen industrial park in the township's southern periphery, counted 9,688 residents. That's up 3,143 from 6,545 in 2000 and reflects the largest population increase of any of the 16 townships here in sheer numbers in the decade.
